Something about Lithuania

In World War I Lithuania was occupied by German forces. After the Russian Revolution in 1917, Germany allowed Lithuania to elect its own officials, who in February 1918 declared independence. In December that year, Communists in Lithuania established a government, and the Bolsheviks invaded from Russia.

In den letzten Jahren wurde es fast zur Mode Sport zu treiben oder mindestens sportlich auszusehen. In vielen Städten entstanden ganze Sport- und Erholungszentren. Es wurden neue Sportsäle, Sporthallen, Sport-, Tennis-, Minigolf- und Golfplätze, Eisstadien, Schwimmbäder, Schwimmhallen und vor allem zahlreiche Fitnesscentren mit Solarien, Saunas und auch einige Bowlingzentren gebaut.

Sport is liked in every country. Young and old people go in for sports. Football has especially many fans. It_s very difficult to get the ticket to the stadium when football match takes place there. Thousands people watch matches on TV.

Stress Managment

Stress management is something we as people should take a lot more seriously than we really do. Whenever I tell someone that they need to learn how to control their stress they always tell me they need their stress. They are right, they do need their stress, we all need a certain amount of stress in our lives. No stress is almost just as unhealthy as too much stress. Just the right amount of stress is called Eustress. Eustress is a healthy stressor because it helps to keep us motivated.

Technology progress

Just like how discovery of steam engine caused revolution in the world of techniques, computers caused information revolution today. We can now say that the biggest technology progress is in the last 50 years. Because 50 years ago ENIAC – the first analytical machine was discovered. In the 70s we already had the first generation of computers. They of course were very big and expensive and they couldn’t work long. And that was the reason why they were used only in big and rich countries by governmental institutions and scientists. And only in the first part of 90s computers became popular all over the world.

The daily routine

We have five working days and two days off in a week. In Lithuania children go to school five days a week. There is no school on Saturday and Sunday. On week days the alarm-clock rings at seven, wakes me up and my working day begins. I jump out of bed.

The drug problem

If anyone of us is asked about what sort of life he wants to live, he will immediately say: a happy life without problems. This is why people do their best to avoid trouble in their daily lives. Sometimes problems and reasons behind them are so great that sufferers find it too hard to bear. So they try to find the easiest way to escape from their plight. They lose control and think drugs are the only way to forget everything.
