Business plan record store

The job is to develop a business plan for a small or medium size business. The objective of this exercise is to gain some practice in developing such plans and to use some of the tools available to assist in decision-making. The job that I chose was to look into if it is feasible to start a record store where the power of modern computers is utilized to keep the costs down. All prices in the report are based on my experience and common sense along with internet research. Numbers relating to the market are primarily based upon my feeling of how strong the Icelandic music industry is and how well an idea like this could work in that environment. They are presented in Icelandic Krona but the ratio between Litas and Kronas is approx. 1/25 Lt/Kr.

Character sketch of Sobel

Sobel is the one of the main characters in the short story The First Seven Years. He is a refugee from Poland and works for a shoemaker Feld as his assistant. That we can see in line 115: “But just at the moment of his darkest night despair, this Polish refugee, Sobel, appeared one night from the street and begged for work”.

Charles Chaplin

Charles Spencer Chaplin was the comedian, the greatest film comic in the history of mankind. The actor was born in 1889 in the London East End. Sydney was his brother, four years older than Charles. Chaplin’s parents were actors. Two children adored their mother for her blue eyes and long light brown hair. Little Charlie couldn’t remember his father. Mother told him that he was a very good artist. But the trouble was he drank too much. That was the cause of their separation. During Charlie’s childhood, the family traveled a lot in England.

Cheating

To combat the recently reported dramatic rise in cheating among college and university students, these institutions should adopt honor codes similar to Groveton’s, which calls for students to agree not to cheat in their academic endeavors and to notify a faculty member if they suspect that others have cheated. Groveton’s honor code replaced an old-fashioned system in which students were closely monitored by teachers and average of thirty cases of cheating per year were reported. The honor code has proven far more successful in the first year it was in place, students reported twenty-one cases of cheating, five years later this figure had dropped to fourteen. Moreover, in a recent survey conducted by Groveton honor council, a majority of students that they would be less likely to cheat with an honor code than without

From ancient times children were separate part from people’s community. They had exclusive rights and duties, which changed during ages and ages. In different nations and different groups of people they were different too, though the times were the same.

Cities and villages

Everyone has a freedom of choice, so all of us can decide where to live: in city or village. The fact is well known that 72 percents of Lithuanians live in cities and only 28 percents of them live in villages. This fact illustrates that there are some really important reasons why people prefer city more than village.

Company`s presentation

J&G was founded in 1984 by Juozas and Giedrius,near the Silicon Valley. In 1987 a new branch was opened in Western Europe. Few years later the Research Facility was built by the company and J&G was fully enrolled in computer business.

Computers make our life easier

Now the computer is very important invention for us. The first electronic computer was invented in 1950. The first computer was very big and not very clever. Now the computer is very small and modern. We can carry modern computer in the little bag. With computer we can do a lot of things, for example: play, write, listen the music, watch TV, read news papers and magazines, paint, count and do other things. With computer we can control technical machines. We use computer in schools, factories, offices, aeroplanes, trains, at home – everywhere.

Crime today

Nowadays our life isn’t safe. It seems that neither police, nor government can guarantee safety. Statistics shows that violent crimes at present have increased. So no one can live in peace and feel safe even in his own home.
