Shopping and shoppers
With the age of modern technologies for many people shopping is becoming a new addiction as buying is getting easier and easier. Why it is so? And how shopping is influencing shoppers?
It is known that there are two main shopping types: shopping at the stores and buying on-line. The second type of sopping in our society is more popular because more people choose easier and sometimes cheaper way to obtain items as they are not bothered to go and spend their time in stores. They better prefer getting a packedge straight to their home with the bought iteam instead. This way of shopping is much simplier, but still it has some disadvantages. Items bouhgt on the internet sometimes are not completely identcal to those which were shown on the on-line shopping website. This means that if you bought a T- shirt it can be the wrong size or colour than you ordered. Sometimes a customer can overpay for the bought thing on the internet even it says that it is for the lovest price than in any other store. That way many shoppers are being cheated and lose their money by shopping this kind of type. Also this proves that this kind of shopping is unreliable and should be avoided.
Still it is undeniable fact that shopping is effecting many people nevertheless how they are buying items on the internet or shopping at stores. It‘s long ben known that shopping tends to make people feel good. New research indicates that it has a direct effect on the brain‘s pleasure centres. It seems that a trip to Akropolis can flood the brain with dopamine in a manner similar to that experienced by a drug addict getting a fix, or someone jumping from a plane for the first time. That‘s because when you‘re faced with something new or thrilling, the brain‘s pleasure centres get fired up. That way we feel that shopping makes us feel better, it overjoys us and we get addicted to it. Therefore we constantly keep wanting to go for shopping.
In conclusion, shopping is a high – powered activity, which influence shoppers to spend more money. They get addicted to it not even thinking how they got into this threrefore shopping should be well-considered.
